We've sat in the seats we're building for.
lacinii was founded by a team that includes recent pupils, programming and physics olympiad winners, and AI and economics researchers — not just engineers looking at education from the outside.
Absence and lost information shouldn't cost a pupil their understanding.
We started lacinii because we've felt the exact fatigue of catching up after being absent, and watched teachers lose track of lesson notes they'll need again. So we built the workflow that makes sure it doesn't happen — a single, connected system that runs quietly in the background of every lesson.
Four things that shape every decision we make.
Multilingual by design
Our R&D works fluidly in English, Latvian, German, and Russian.
Student-led design
We know the exact fatigue of a sick-day catch-up, so our UX is built for a 10-minute read, not a 2-hour scramble.
Top-tier talent
Programming and physics olympiad winners and AI/economics researchers, backed by relationships with Riga Business School, JA Latvia, and Swedbank.
One connected workflow
We don't sell disconnected software or hardware — lacinii is an AI-native, end-to-end workflow.
Early, and already in classrooms.
A working software-to-hardware integration prototype, ongoing conversations with three schools, and a Letter of Intent in progress with one of Latvia's top-ranked public schools.
- Working prototype: hardware ↔ transcription pipeline ↔ library
- Active conversations with three schools
- LOI in progress with a top-ranked Latvian public school
- Collecting feedback from educators and pupils
